I am recognised by the UK’s leading professional organisations for counselling and psychotherapy including the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Please visit this page for details of my qualifications and credentials.
I am trained in Transactional Analysis psychotherapy and I use a psychodynamic approach and draw upon Transactional Analysis and Relational Psychoanalytic approaches. I also offer psychotherapeutic counselling and CBT approaches within my core relational approach.
I work with individuals, couples, families and systems as well as small groups. I pay particular attention to the dynamics within the relationship; helping you to make links with ‘back then’ and ‘out there’.
I am of half English and half Maltese heritage; born and raised in London. The blend of my cultural and professional backgrounds helps me to bring an awareness towards working with differences and an accessibility to what might seem like remote psychological ideas. I enjoy communicating and sharing knowledge during sessions, through my blog and various postings on social media and within the media.
I value the therapeutic relationship and my relationships with my clients are based on trust and partnership. Thanks to my extensive experience, I am able to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment where you can feel acknowledged, heard and supported.
